Sunny Boho Crochet Coaster pattern

Crochet Patterns

This pattern holds a very special place in my heart because it is my very first pattern that I have posted in my blog!

Materials

You can use the popular Yarn Bee Sugarwheel cotton yarn for this pattern or any cotton dk yarn

• One skein of cotton yarn size 3

• Yarn needle

• Scissors

• E / 3.5 mm hook ( I like how the stitches looks with a smaller hook but you can use required size for corresponding yarn)

crochet terms

• MC – magic circle

• CH – chain

• DC – double crochet

• HDC – half double crochet

• SS – slip stitch

• ST – stitches

• PS – picot stitch (chain 5 and slip stitch in first st)

Notes

• Chain 2 does not count as a stitch ·

• You will slip stitch to the first double crochet at the end of each round

• The first double crochet of each round will be made in the same as chain 2

Pattern

Row 1: Create MC and CH 2(does not count as ST) then 12 DC, ss on top of 1st st. (12)

Row 2: CH 2, and 2 DC on each ST, ss on top of 1st st. (24)

Row 3: CH 2, and 1 DC on first ST and 2 DC on the next ST all the way around repeating same sequence, ss on top of 1st st (36)

Row 4: CH2 and DC each stitch around, ss on top of 1st st. (36)

Row 5: CH 1 and HDC in the next 4 STs, create a PS, and continue with HDC in the next 4 STs, create a PS and continue with repeating same sequence, when you approach your last stitch you will create a PS and will slip stitch on top of first stitch and the first chain of the picot stitch ( please pic below) cut yarn and hide/weave tails....And voila you are done with your very simple Sunny Hobo Coaster.
